November 16 The Downtown Chico City plaza finally opened, I jammed down for a few evening photos. I'm not really happy with the new design of the plaza, as I prefer the old small town type plaza we had before. This remodel cost over $4 million, and took a year and a half, and it's still not complete. It's going to blazing hot in the summer with all that concrete.  However the kids like the fountain, and I guess that is what is important.

October 28 A friend sent me some photos of the old City Plaza, I miss the old trees and the cool grass, I mostly miss the old home town look of the old plaza. I've posted some photos and some pictures from my travels along the north California coast.

July 22, Drove up to Lassen Volcanic Park. There is still snow up there, hard to believe with the valley temp at around 109.

May 6, I've posted some photos of the Pioneer Week Parade. I'm glad we have a community parade, however I remember the old days when we would see 50,000 people crowd downtown for the parade back in the 70's when I went to college, now the parade is lucky to draw 5,000.

Sunday April 9, I had a company meeting in New Jersey, while back there, I went up to Connecticut to visit some friends, on the way I passed through Stockbridge Mass. and visited the site of the old church featured in the song "Alice's Restaurant" photos

Sunday Feb 12, 2006 The last week we have had some great spring like weather. Every year it does this, we get about a week of sunshine at the beginning of  February, then the rain returns.  However I've got some nice photos of the spring flowers.

Tuesday Nov 8, I’m such a junk collector. Over the last month or so, I’ve been tiring to throw out a lot of the old junk that has been cluttering my house. For example today I finally packed up and took my old computers to “Computers for Classrooms” here in Chico. Unfortunately most of my old computers are too old for them to use, and they will just scrap (recycle) them.

Friday Aug 12, Summer is racing by, now I'm use to the heat, however I'm working too much to get out and have much fun. Need to change that. Last weekend Forbestown Daze was a blast, check out the photos, the old west town reenactment was fantastic, reminded me of the old pioneer days in Chico. Oh, do I miss Chico's Pioneer Days.

Thursday June 16 What is up with this late spring weather? Last Friday we had that surprise thunderstorm, now it looks like rain again? The good news is that Craig's List now has a site for Chico, go check it out.

Monday May 16 Back from a quick trip to Yosemite in May. Springtime in the valley is fantastic, not too crowded, but the weather is great. The bicycle is the best way to get around the valley. Take a look at the photos.

Saturday May 7 Posted photos of Pioneer Day Parade. The parade was fantastic, weather was great, and everyone downtown had a great time. However it was nothing like the parades we had back in the 70's and 80's.

Tuesday March 29th I'm helping plan the Chico Downtown Pioneer Day Parade which will be held May 7th 2005, while it's not the old Pioneer Week, it's the best we have right now. I'm looking for more community support. This is a community parade so everyone is welcome to participate. Also check out photos of the old of the Pioneer Week.

Sunday March 6th The wildflowers up on Table Mountain and in Bidwell Park are very beautiful this year, seem like there are a lot more than previous years.

Sunday 1/23/2005 I'm getting a lot of spam in my guestbook, so I'm taking it down for a while till I figure out what to do about it. I was getting about 3 or 4 spam entries a day that I would need to delete.

Thursday 1/13 Busy holidays and a new job, has kept me off here. I just got back from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. I've been going for over 5 years, and this was the first time it rained, usually the weather is nice and warm, this time it even snowed in the outskirts of town.  I've posted the photos here: CES Photos  I've noticed that my Yahoo listing has slipped to about #21 or so. Don't know why? They must have changed their search protocol.

Sunday 11/21/2003 An old family friend planted a tree in my Mom's honor in Pinole, where my folks previously lived. A small group of friends gathered to remember my Mom.  Photos

Tuesday 11/02 Posted my Halloween photos. On Friday and Saturday I helped out at the haunted house at the YMCA in Oroville. Was a fun time for both the staff and the kids, and a great fundraiser for the Y.

Tuesday, 10/26 Well I'm happy to say that my listing is back on Yahoo. Search "Chico CA" and I come up #7. Cool! Watch next week for New Halloween Photos.

Tuesday 10/12 I'm still resting up from my vacation to Cancun. Eight of us decided that we needed a vacation, so we booked a trip. We all had a blast. This was my first trip to Mexico and it couldn't have gone better. The only thing was the humidity, which was oppressive. I never dried out, as I tend to sweat a lot. Check out the photos.

Thursday 7/29 My listing has dropped off Yahoo search engine, previously when you searched for Chico you would find my site, but no longer. I've made some changes and hopefully they will pick me up again. I've added historic Chico photos, mostly postcards.

Friday 6/25 My Mom passed away last month. I didn't realize how much this would effect me. After all, I'm grown, and have been living away from home for the past 33 years. However I find my self thinking of her often, and her passing effects me everyday.  I've put a tribute page up shortly after she died,  I just wanted my friends to know a little about her. I'll put up some more photos of her soon.   Mom

Thursday 6/24  Well this is my first blog entry, I have just moved my web site to a new server, so you won't have to put up with the annoying ads.
